The flag of Forças Populares 25 de Abril, FP25 for short, a terrorist organization active in Portugal during the eighties. I guess the design of the flag shows a compromise between anarchist and communist symbology, but I’m not sure. The golden star and the AK47 have certainly the usual meanings.

Forças Populares 25, whose flag featured a machinegun. I saw it as a photograph on a TV historical report on the activities of the group (because of an amnisty on some group members that where still in jail). The photo was taken, I presume, in a press conference and the flag was hanging in the wall behind the terrorists.
Jorge Candeias, 15 Sep 1997 and 12 Sep 1997

My image was made according to that photo. The colors were identified by Adolfo Duran, the catalan vexillologist that lived some years in Portugal.
